I wanted to make a quick post to say…If you’ve been to my blog recently and saw a name change, I’m not sure how that happened exactly. It’s been corrected. I didn’t make the change nor do I know when it changed. I come to my blog and dashboard almost daily. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. The name of the blog has not changed since I dropped the homeschool part of it.
I’m also cleaning up some posts, adding to posts if needed, and fixing mistakes as I see them. New post coming soon.
Hello everyone. In the coming near future you will probably begin to see a shift of focus here and a “rebranding” of my blog. If you’ve visited here before you know that my journey as a homeschool mom has come to an end, however, I still want to help anyone interested in homeschooling in the state of Pennsylvania as much as I can, therefore, I do not intend to remove all my previous posts, free documents, or information. I will remove posts that are not relevant anymore in effort to declutter. Today I’ve changed the name of the blog and what it’s going to be about. It will take me some time to figure out how to set this up (how to change everything in WordPress without affecting my live site) in a way that makes sense and re-creating logos, etc, but I wanted to keep the blog updated for now. I do intend to return to posting soon but it will no longer be about homeschooling. However, you can still read everything I’ve written since 2017. If I become aware of changes to the home education law in this state in the future I may update accordingly or I may end up eventually removing everything so as not to provide incorrect information to new families. Just to be transparent, my plan for the future of this blog is spread the light of Jesus Christ by sharing what I’ve learned, what I’m reading, what I’m studying, and any other random thoughts that can spread his Gospel. We’ll see how that goes. I do hope if you’ve been here before that you’ll come back. I have a lot of things I need to plan out but for now, that’s what I can tell you.
UPDATE 10/25/2025 : I think I’ve finally figured out how to reorangize my blog to be able to keep my posts about homeshooling active but seperate from new things. You will likley see changes happening every so often until everything is worked out. I will continue to edit this post in the process.
Just a quick note today to say that I have some ideas for the future of this blog. I don’t necessarily want to remove the important information contained here for anyone looking to homeschool in Pennsylvania (USA), or remove the free documents you can use to comply with the law, but I will no longer be homeschooling after May of this year (2025). My last child is graduating. I will probably not keep up to date with future changes to the home education law, but if I do, I will try to report them to you. The name of my blog is probably going to change and I will likely move homeschool related topics to a different section of the blog. I will most likely remove any posts that don’t relate to staying in compliance with the home education law or don’t contain advice/tips, for example, on preparing a transcript. Reviews of curriculum will probably be removed as curriculum gets updated from the publishers. If I can not keep the information current, than other articles are likely to be removed. I will be starting a new chapter as my time of being a homeschool mom ends. I’ll be waiting on the Lord to know what that is. For now, please read, and share, and use the resources I’ve provided to you for free. Keep in mind nothing in this blog is legal advice and is of my own opinion from my own experience and extensive research into the topics I cover. Download the free documents I’ve provided and feel free to share them on your blog or with others you know. As long as this blog stays up, crediting me is appreciated.
Just popping in with a quick note today to inform anyone that might be a returning visitor to be sure to keep checking in on the Forms and Resources pages. In the past week, including today, I have been adding to these 2 pages as well as tidying up some other posts. If you find my blog helpful, please pass it on. Again, currently this blog is 100% free. I don’t ask for money for the items that you are free to print, many of which I created myself. I am not affiliated with any company, therefore, I get no money for ads or for linking to them. This information is for anyone but most of the information contained in this blog is for parents who choose to homeschool in the state of Pennsylvania inside the United States. I do review curriculums also. In the interest of transparency I have been considering options to add members only content or a small fee for some printable documents that I create. I’ll add an update if that ever takes place. This would most likely only be for worksheets and/or quizzes that I may post in the future.
For now, I hope the blog is encouraging and helpful and that you would share it with others.
This is a quick note to say…I’ve changed the name of my blog! It’s a new year and I was never happy with the other name. If you’ve visited my blog in the last couple of days you’ve likely seen other names pop up. SORRY! That will be over now. I wanted a name more conducive to what this blog is about. Naming things has never been my strong suit! If it’s meant to be permanent you want to be happy with it, forever. It’s like naming your unborn child. What a chore that was when I was pregnant with our daughter. Naming our son seemed simple. I’d given my husband 2 options and asked if he didn’t like those to pick another. He picked one of my options. Done. When it came to naming our daughter, however, we had to dig through the baby book of names. We had to write down our choices. We compared our lists with each other. There was one name on both our lists and thus that became her name. It seems so much harder to name a blog!
Anyway, this is the same blog, with a new name. Hope you keep coming back, pass it along, and enjoy the posts. This is primarily a blog about homeschooling in Pennsylvania, but many of my tips, reviews, experiences can be good for homeschooling in general. Please do check out my resources page also. I have included links to other site. Also you’ll want to look at my pintables page. They are FREE for you to print and use. Some of the documents I’ve created myself. These pages may be updated occasionally so come back!
